No outdoor trash cans - takeout is rare.
No supersizes and no Starbucks!
Asking for your restaurant check.
Internet- pay per minute.
Walking 1 -2 miles with groceries in canvas bags.

At first glance, these things may seem very unusual. But upon closer inspection, you can see the culture promotes things like slowing down, connecting with others and not being wasteful.
